The award-winning City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking an enthusiastic HR Policy and Strategy Advisor to join our dynamic and hardworking Human Resources team. The Council is currently engaging with approximately 2,000 employees about flexible working changes to Relight our Council once national covid restrictions are lifted, including technology requirements, impact and re-design of space within office buildings, changes to working hours etc. In addition, we are refreshing Our People Strategy to ensure we support our employees in the right way by providing internal development opportunities, training and mentoring. We also have four equality forums and an ambitious 2030 vision enabling us to ensure we are an inclusive and diverse employer of choice.

The successful candidate will be involved in working on an exciting HR Transformation project to support the HR Climate Change Agenda including reviewing the business travel policy, encouraging employees to change behaviours to reduce individual carbon footprint, improving the staff mileage recording system and developing a staff travel survey. You will be required to possess a postgraduate qualification in HR and an associate member of the CIPD. The post would ideally suit individuals that have experience of matrix working with internal stakeholders, negotiating and influencing others and HR policy writing experience.
