The Grants Assessors have been assessing the Governments Small Business Grant Fund, the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grants and Local Authority Discretionary Grants which ran through the initial lockdown in 2020.

The Government made one-off payments to closed retail, hospitality and leisure businesses required to close during the tiered system of lockdown in November 2020. The grants that were operational during these periods of national lockdown were the Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) and the Additional Restrictions Grants (ARG).

From April 2021, one-off Restart Grants were made available for non-essential retail businesses that were ordered to close during lockdown. Businesses within the hospitality and other sectors opening later, such as accommodation and leisure, were also given grants. The grant funding is to go towards the cost of reopening safely.

Assessors will need to:
*have excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
*Support applicants, via telephone and email, to provide further information about
their company to make a case for a grant.
*Identify issues that need to be pursued to give a full impact of Covid
*Clarify information from the application information, identifying and filling in
gaps as necessary by gathering additional information to address key areas not
covered in the application process.
*Provide analytical, comprehensive, and proportionate assessments where necessary
*Include any useful feedback that can be provided to applicants, regardless of
whether they are successful in securing funding.

YOO Recruit is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
