Project Manager / remote working/ inside ir35
*Delivery of projects (may include IT elements)
*Matrix management of assigned project resources
*Management of project budgets up to c.£1m
*Management of third-party suppliers
*Responsible for the management of the full delivery lifecycle of all allocated projects in line with departmental standards
*Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet agreed SLA's and KPI's SLMO
*Establishing and managing benefitsBENM case from outset of project
*Working closely with stakeholders RLMT and analysts to identify, challenge and agree the scope and critical purpose of the project
*Define the deliverables, resource requirements RESC and work plan for these projects, and manage their development and delivery
*Management of all Project risksBURM and issues including identification of escalation points
*Plan and manage Project Boards to provide status updates, highlight issues and obtain decisions and direction
*Maintain and communicate a Project/Programme timetable, project plans and logs to project sponsors, stakeholders and Programme or Portfolio Management
*Lead project teams on a project secondment basis and act as a point of escalation where required
*Create work packages for delivery by Analysis, Development and Test teams
*Ensure appropriate Business Readiness activity SEAC has taken place including impact assessments, Go
/ No-Go and deployment planning
*Engagement with the Service Delivery Manager SEAC (Acceptance into Service) to ensure seamless
transition into Application Support
*Build and maintain strong and professional relationships internal and external to the immediate team and with 3rd party suppliers
*Working with peers to make best use of available resources according to priority and need
*Champion and adhere to project governance process and procedures, identifying and communicating improvements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required: Essential
*Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering business change and IT projects.
*Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies issues, and devises contingency plans .
*Ability to identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
*Ability to plan, schedules, and tracks project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
*Evidence of formal training and/or qualifications (to practitioner level) in project management .
*A good understanding of both Waterfall and Agile and or SCRUM project management approaches.
*Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Experience of working with business owners, stakeholders and subject matter experts in a matrix project environment.
*Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients.
*Ability to work in a team environment.
*Ability to work on own initiative but knows when to seek support.
*Knowledge of Energy Retail / Energy generation sector.
*Experience of managing third party suppliers SUPP.
*Experience of managing regulatory projects.
*Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods.
Some flexibility to work out of core office hours to support Project implementations may be required. Limited travel to other sites may be required.
