My Client is looking for a HR Advisor
Act as a key point of contact in providing HR/ER advice to managers at all levels as well
as Head Office-based staff on a broad range of HR/ER matters including but not limited to
discipline and dismissal, grievance, absence management, performance management,
capability and sickness absence, family friendly policies, TUPE and
Attend disciplinary and grievance hearings as management representative and advisor,
take accurate notes and draft formal correspondence to employees;
Recommend solutions that fit business needs to mitigate ER risks in line with best
practice, demonstrating fairness, pragmatism and commercialism;
Act as subject matter expert, coach managers in managing HR and ER matters in line
with legislation and best practice;
Advise on and manage long term sickness absence cases across the business, utilising
available resources to support both employees and line managers to assist with any
possible return to work or capability concerns;
Ensure that all advice is compliant with both Company procedures and current
employment legislation and is consistently applied in all HR matters;
Build effective relationships within the business to promote good employee relations
across all sites and coach and support managers in taking responsibility for HR and ER
management at their sites;
Review and make suggested amendments to draft documentation, as required;
Assist in auditing employees' eligibility to work in the United Kingdom across our retail
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and case judgements to be able
to implement and advise on best practice and procedure and to ensure policies are
adhered to correctly;
Develop guidance, documentation and toolkits to enable excellence of service to the
