The Role
My client is looking for a strong Finance professional to support the Directors and bridge the gap between the finance team and the wider business.
You will be an influential manager who can comfortably engage with stakeholders of all levels. Ideally, you will have a commercial background as a strong Business Partner and excellent excel skills but still enjoy the team-management element. You will need to balance building relationships and understand financial and accounting processes and procedures.

This role sits within the learning function where the client provides an end to end learning service to external partners ranging from government departments to banks.
The day to day responsibilities are leading a small team by carrying out a wide array of functions.
-development of competitive but profitable pricing of learning products and services
-streamlining and optimising processes,
-managing change
-leading a finance and reporting team within a fast-paced client-focused environment
-managing accounts payable and receivables
-managing cash and debt collection
-producing internal and external reports for senior management and clients.
-Producing Monthly and Annual accounts for the programme and reporting to the Board
-Oversight of the Programme's Data Governance including Master Data Management and overall Data Quality Strategy
-Supporting investment appraisals as required
-Identifying areas of under-performance and producing plans to remedy

The Person
-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with a minimum of 4 years PQE experience
-Experience of managing a finance team
-Strong IT skills including advanced excel
-Strong Commercial Business Partnering Experience
-Demonstrable experience in process design, change management and project management
-Experience of designing and testing financial controls

-Understanding of UK public sector accounting processes and procedures
-Managed Services Experience
