Badenoch + Clark are really pleased to be working with one of our Sussex based clients to source for them a People & Culture Assistant to join their team.

This role will be the first point of contact for all employees. You will provide advice and assistance with employee queries including close liaison with the payroll/finance team and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of People and Culture (HR) systems and practices. This will involve providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures, legislation, and agreements (contracts, T&Cs benefits, and other employment related documents).

Main objectives;

*Providing first line professional, comprehensive and timely advice to managers and staff on a range of general HR queries such as sickness absence management, terms and conditions of employment, disciplinary and grievance issues, and HR policies and procedures
*Managing absence and welfare issues and provide managers with information and advice and providing administrative support to ensure best practice, adherence to legislation requirements and policies
*Referral to, management and liaison with Occupational Health
*Annual Gender Pay Gap reporting
*EEA employees' checks in line with latest post Brexit legislation
*Responsible for dealing with all maternity, paternity, return to work and flexible working requests
*Data reporting and management information (sickness, pay, demographics, etc.)
*Review and update HR/Payroll policies and procedures in line with legislative changes (National Living wage, shared parental leave and pay, etc.)
*Administer and co-ordinate the on boarding process of new employees

Specific skills;

*Experience within a Human Resource/People function in a support/admin capacity
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel & PowerPoint). Advanced Exec skills
*Attention to detail is highly important
*Experience in working with and liaising with payroll/finance teams
