We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is a Tech Giant and looking to hire a Technical Editor!
Position Description
Role: Technical Editor
Duration: 12 months
Location: London
Salary: 50,000£ - 61,000£ per year
Bonus: Company Plan
As a technical editor, you edit tutorials and conceptual material targeted at end-users, IT pros, and software developers who want to use cloud-based enterprise products.
Your primary authors are partner engineers, platform specialists, and software engineers-they are not professional technical writers, and some might not be writing in their language. You transform drafts they create to address content gaps and new features into polished technical documentation suitable for publication in help centers and developer sites.
Job responsibilities:
Mandatory
3+ years of experience editing and managing customer-facing technical content. Experience with information architecture and content management systems. Experience building collaborative partnerships (e.g. with cross-functional and/or external stakeholders).
Desired
BS or equivalent experience in a technical discipline. Familiarity with enterprise technologies and concepts. Proficiency with HTML and Markdown. Proven ability to manage schedules and priorities and to work with a wide variety of writers-some local, some not.
