My client is a market leader in the design and manufacture of specialist power and lighting equipment.

Due to large company growth they are looking to recruit a IT Support Technician to be based onsite at their Crayford site.

Teh Support Technician is required to join a small team reporting directly to the IT Manager. Based in Crayford, but assisting in the support of around 70 users across the three business locations (Crayford, Harlow and Wakefield) this is a new but important role in the company.

The successful candidate is likely to already have some hands-on experience of commissioning and trouble-shooting ICT equipment in a Microsoft network environment, as well as knowledge of the fundamentals of network maintenance and administration. They will be self-motivated with good technical skills, take pride in the quality of their work and have a desire to learn new technology.


Main purpose of the role

*Provide 1st line support for users across all sites.
*Procure, Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot and decommission varied company ICT equipment.
*Administer, apply and remove network user/hardware accounts.
*General day to day administration tasks including maintenance of company email, monitoring backup and security systems, deployment of updates and auditing systems in a proactive maintenance role.
*Maintain system documentation.
*Deliver smaller projects.

Desirables

*Experience of Windows 10, Microsoft Office (including Outlook), Microsoft SQL server report writer and Microsoft networking along with an awareness of Citrix and virtualised environments.
*Car owner with full driving licence (expensed travel to the Harlow site is likely to be a regular requirement).
*Educated to a minimum of IT/ICT 'A level' standard.
*The ability to work to tight deadlines, and to build relationships and work with users in a professional, confident and friendly manner.
