Java Spring Backend Development with Azure REMOTE

We are currently looking for an experienced Backend Developer with JAVA Spring and Azure experience for a new freelance role for 6 months + extension for our customer who are based in Germany, this role is fully remote with occasional travel post covid to the office location in Germany 1-2 times a month. If you are successful in getting this position your contract will be with Modis Germany (Berlin)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build and improve micro services for customer-facing products on Azure
• Based on our microservices architecture, you and your team will own your code and

decide together on the technologies and tools to utilize as well operate large-scale web

applications on PaaS/SaaS cloud (Azure).

• Cross-functional way-of-working with and end-to-end responsibility of your services -

from implementation to testing and maintenance.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 5 years of experience, coding in Java with experience in working with Spring

(Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc…) related frameworks and so with Relational or NoSql

Databases.

• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Principles, Design Patterns and good understanding

of micro-service architecture.

• You are experienced in creating, maintaining and improving well designed REST APIs (with

Swagger / OpenAPI)

• Experience with HTML
• Write clean and modular code that will make it easier to maintain, update, and scale.
• Experience with Azure and Docker is a plus
• You have a strong sense of ownership and experience working in an agile environment

where continuous delivery of valuable features for our customers matters.
