Mechanic

My client based in Milnthorpe is seeking a Mechanic. The role involves working on new HGV build trailers, repairs and maintenance of factory mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work mainly unsupervised and also be able to monitor production of their own work for quality and conformance with set specifications.

The ideal candidate will be in possession of full industry recognised qualifications and experienced in all aspects of mechanical servicing and repairs.

You will also need a good understanding and knowledge of:

• Associated pneumatic and hydraulics
• Working from circuit diagrams and drawings
• The diagnostic and installation of trailer electronic braking systems
• Design techniques and the principals involved in production specification
• Carrying out pre-MOT work as and when required

The rate will be £11 to £13 per hour, depending on experience. Hours are 8.00-4.45 Mon to Fri. 40 hours per week.
