Badenoch + Clark have been engaged to source a Procurement Quantity Surveyor (PQS) for a brand new Permanent role within Castles and Coasts Housing Association based in the North of England with properties across Cumbria and the North East.

The PQS will work alongside and provide support to the Building Surveyors, the Development team and the Planned Works/Maintenance Departments and reports to the Procurement Delivery Lead. The successful candidate will work within the Business Improvement Team to deliver projects on existing housing stock as well as the development of new build properties.

With a fantastic opportunity to grow and shape this position using your own ability and skill, a summary of the duties are as follows:

*Report on post-completion valuations of responsive, planned and capital works to ensure that specifications and applications for payment by contractors and sub-contractors are accurate
*Manage variations ensuring all records of additional work are reported correctly
*Using soft skills developed in previous roles to maintain strong relationships with all contractors and other stakeholders and be able to challenge any variations in a firm but fair way
*Report on Project actual costs against planned costs to provide accurate forecasts to manage project performance
*Be familiar with industry standards such as the Price per Property model and Schedule of Rates
*Assist in the preparation of reports for contract management review meetings including the preparation of monthly cost and Key Performance Indicator reports
*Compile, submit and support any negotiated agreement of the final contract account
*Provide support on procurement activities including tendering for new contracts
