Senior SQL DBA
12 month FTC
Due to large scale project growth , my client a leading name within education are currently recruiting a Senior SQL DBA. This position will be remote based with occasional travel to Southampton
Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities
Work as a Senior Database Administrator leading project teams in the delivery of services and solutions, throughout their entire lifecycle, in support of the of my clients mission.
Work directly with my clients community to capture requirements and communicate possibilities to support the delivery of capabilities as required
Mentor more junior Database Administrators working on project teams to develop their skills and ability to deliver projects that provide value .
Use initiative to propose new and innovative solutions to organisational challenges and make recommendations for continual improvement of systems and services
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
Extensive experience in multiple technologies, especially:
*Data analysis
*Information presentation
Experience of delivering secure databases which handle personal information and awareness of the current attack surface of internet facing applications and the defences required.
Experience in managing and maintaining high availability, resilient database services as part of both in house and COTS systems.
Ability to proactively identify, plan and manage own workload, including fully planning and owning technical projects
Proven track record of adapting to and learning new developments in core database technologies and investigating new database types and tools and ways of working
