In line with delivering a corporate strategy within Education - my clients are working to ensure that their organisational structures enable them to flex and evolve, that they have have a diverse composition of people and teams, and a range of skills to meet the requirements of the Group to support organisational growth, change and performance and respond to the challenges and opportunities presented within the education sector.
The Organisation Development & Learning Business Partner will use drive the implementation of the People & OD, Talent and Learning Strategy by leading on the delivery of organisational development initiatives and interventions working closely with the People Partnering team,
This is a key role with significant relationship and stakeholder management requirements and requires OD subject matter expertise and accountability for end-to-end definition, design, development, deployment, and embedding of OD interventions, programmes, frameworks, and initiatives for one or more of talent and succession planning; organization change/culture and equality, diversity & inclusion; digital and core learning; leadership and management development; apprenticeships, graduate and traineeships - qualifications-based development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
SME - Leadership & Management
*Develop a global leadership and management development proposition and approach, clearly aligned to the organisational vision, values, and talent planning processes to develop aspiring, current, and future leaders who are innovative, have intercultural competence, and a passion for driving excellence.
*Consult and collaborate with OD & Learning Business Partners and People Partners to understand business area leadership challenges and to inform the delivery of the best possible solutions and outcomes and a clear return on investment.
*Ensure leadership and management programmes are focused on diversity and are aligned to succession planning needs and to understand the links to Graduate and Qualification led programmes for leadership and management.
*Responsible for end-to-end management and delivery from needs analysis, content/curriculum design, programme management to delivery and facilitation of interventions.
*Design and support delivery of leadership and management training and activity that will meet the learning needs of a multi-generational and diverse workforce and maximises digital and bite-size learning approaches.
*Consistent and regular evaluation to ensure programme content remains relevant and
up-to-date to meet the demands of changing external factors within and outside of the sector.
*Take a strategic and proactive focus to lead, scope, develop and deliver holistic, high-impact organisational development interventions within defined business areas.
*Analyse and identify the current and future requirements of workforce knowledge, skills, and experience to aid workforce planning to achieve organisational strategic objectives.
*Be a trusted partner to senior leaders and managers within business areas and develop relationships based on trust, integrity, and co-operation.
*Take a consultancy approach to influence and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
*Develop and maintain a network of relationships with the People Partnering team and business partnering areas to keep informed and up to date on business developments and enable immediate engagement when action or support is needed.
*Drive cultural changes through a variety of different methods, enabling managers to more effectively line manage their staff and enhance their people management skills.
Required Experience & Knowledge
*Educated to degree level or equivalent experience and CIPD or organisational development postgraduate level qualification.
*Significant experience within an OD/HR/L&D role working in the field of organisation development and learning.
*Proven experience in managing people.
*Substantial experience in creating and delivering a range of organisational development and learning interventions with proven business benefits.
*Knowledge and understanding of OD and learning processes and interventions which embed culture change, behaviors, and values, and achieve employee engagement.
*Substantial and demonstrable experience in delivering organisational change and leading OD projects with successful implementation.
*Experience in identifying skills gaps and developing learning solutions.
*Proven experience in facilitating and influencing strategy at a senior level.
*Knowledge of the benefits of maximising the use of digital technologies and learning approaches in a complex, global environment.
*Expertise in people analytics and making recommendations to leaders on decisions.
*Consultancy skills and approach to gain buy-in and credibility with senior-level stakeholders in subject matter and the value-add to the organisation.
*Ability to translate OD knowledge, theoretical and practical, into interventions/actions and to use knowledge to anticipate business requirements
*Ability to think strategically and generate innovative ideas.
*Effective stakeholder management in a complex organisational structure/matrix environment.
