JOB TITLE: Web Developer
LOCATION: Glastonbury, Somerset. You must live locally but the role will involve a mixture of office and home-based working.
SALARY: Competitive Salary Dependant on Experience
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:30am till 5:00pm

THE ROLE: Our client based in the heart of Somerset is seeking a Web Developer to join their growing team on a permanent basis to start as soon as possible. You will be joining a small, friendly and ambitious team with the added bonus of working in their beautiful grade 2 listed offices with views over farmland (home based initially until offices are able to reopen to their employees). This company is a leading business who specialise in providing technical services to the agricultural and farming industry. This role will suit an experienced Developer who is looking for a varied and rewarding role. As a proactive individual, your can-do attitude will enable you to work effectively on your own, but also collaboratively with in-house experts and external contractors to deliver projects on time.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Web Development: Develop applications to further enhance and grow the services that our client offer. This will include working on developments with both the in-house team and contract developers, plus full cycle application development (from requirements and UX design through development and testing to implementation and maintenance).
Supporting Existing Developments: Developing further enhancements to the existing websites, both in-house service support applications and products delivered to clients. The role will involve working closely with other team members focusing on project management, data integration and app developments.
- Full cycle application development (from requirements and UX design through development and testing to implementation and maintenance) of web applications.
- Able to demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving, with an appetite for progress.
- Exceptional attention to detail, numeracy and data analysis skills.
- A knowledge of livestock agriculture would be an advantage but by no means essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, together with competent verbal and written communication skills.
- A good team player also having the initiative, motivation and drive to work on their own.
