Senior IT Business Analyst
An established Housing Association based in London is seeking an experienced Lead/Senior IT Business Analyst to join a growing team to work on a range of varied and exciting projects within transformation.
This position will work alongside developers, testers, product owners and user acceptance teams in an Agile / Scrum environment, utilising strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills, playing an integral role in ensuring requirements are aligned to business strategy and goals.
*You will provide effective services in business, systems and data analysis, solutions proposals and quality assurance and testing.
*You will be responsible for drafting detailed business requirements into a prioritised backlog and obtaining sign-off from relevant stakeholders, followed up with engagements with IT delivery to ensure that business requirements accurately translate in to technical scoping documents.
*You will understand business issues and opportunities by analysing and documenting current and future state operational models, conducting gap analysis and effectively communicating recommendations that add business value and efficiency.
*You will identify key stakeholders, tailoring communication to their needs and working with teams to build relationships whilst also meeting user needs, taking opposing views to reach consensus when required.
*You will influence and work with senior stakeholders to support change projects, overcome issues and evaluate and deliver tangible solutions.
*You will identify and manage dependencies and synergies across projects, programmes or releases to ensure that we deliver change to our customers in the most effective way.
*You will identify and resolve issues and contradictions in what is being asked for, what is already present and what is technically feasible and realistic.
*You will support the Technical Project Managers at regular intervals of the project lifecycle.
*Solid, multi-organisation experience as a Senior Business Analyst, with demonstrable skills in business process, systems and data analysis, modelling and the production of high-quality written documentation.
*Significant experience eliciting and managing software requirements as part of a delivery team.
*Strong experience building relationships with stakeholders and managing their expectations.
*Understanding of scrum framework and agile methodologies
*Strong consultative approach
*Agile development experience
*Effective leadership skills and ability to actively listen, communicate and motivate others to achieve results
*Expertise in facilitation, influencing, coaching and presentation.
*A persuasive, articulate communicator with a passion for delivery, who can communicate business analysis concepts and related matters to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
*Sound experience of the multiple development methodologies, including Scrum delivery method and of applying Agile techniques such as User Stories.
*BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis.
*Previous experience working in the social housing sector
