Financial Accounting Manager - Housing Association

Job Title - Financial Accounting Manager
Salary - up to £58K + Benefits
Location - London (remote working initially)

Badenoch + Clark have been engaged to source for a Financial Accounting Manager to work for a Housing Association in Central London. This is a hands-on role which will involve being responsible for the technical financial accounting in accordance with regulations as well as maintenance of financial systems.
Responsibilities will include:
-Managing an Assistant Financial Accountant
-Preparation of all external financial returns to include annual financial statements and regulatory returns.

Key responsibilities include:
*Full responsibility for the review and oversight of accurate recording of accounting entries.
*Responsibility for the production of the Annual Financial Statements.
*Perform monthly reconciliations of the control accounts and company balances.
*Maintain the necessary records, chart of accounts and systems.
*Ensuring adequate internal financial controls are in place and provide assurance that these controls are in place.
*Strong knowledge of accounts preparation under FRS 102 and Housing SORP
*Monitoring financial systems to make sure they are being used correctly and that transactions are being recorded accurately

You should have a proven record of having full responsibility of preparing full packs of financial statements.

What we are looking for:
*Relevant accounting qualification
*Strong leadership, communication and management skills
*Financial and budget management experience
*A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of finance, including regulatory issues.
*High level of IT literacy and a good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
