I want to speak with the very best Lead Java Engineers in the local market who want to be part of something big. I'm working alongside an SME technology business who are looking to totally rebuild the way in which they develop their market leading data & analytics platform. The development is currently done exclusively by a third party but we're looking for somebody to bring this development in house as the client continues rapid growth.

The business are truly tech driven and this is an excellent opportunity for a senior/lead developer to have a real say in how my client are looking to shape their business and develop this cloud applications on site. The business is responsible for providing their clients with real time data and analytics on their financial/trading information and this application is at the heart of that. It incorporates AI and ML to provide a truly market leading service.

As Lead Engineer I'm looking for a true Java expert. You'll be absolutely at the top of your game, a true Java API enthusiast (ideally some Java 8 or 11) and you'll have a good handle on Jenkins (or something similar like Bamboo & Travis), Camel (or similar messaging e.g. Kafka) & SQL

You'll have solid design skills and knowledge of Java design patterns and be an advocate of continuous integration, delivery and automated tests. You'll know Agile and play an active part in the process of planning meetings, stand-ups etc.

It's also really important that you are focused on delivery - on making things happen and not just cutting code! You'll have a huge hand in building the team and will also be responsible for mentoring new recruits. Given the rapid growth of the organisation you'll also have agreat opportunity to progress to director level or similar as the business organically increases size with increased customer demand. You'll join a great bunch of people who all absolutely love what they do.

This is a really unique chance to snap up a very senior technology role for a brand new team on behalf of a global business. In return you'll receive up to £80,000 basic salary plus a competitive benefits package.
