Assistant Development Project Manager
The housing association managers 7,000 homes offering a range of other services to support people and communities across Lincolnshire.
*Being the technical specialist in the team, looking at schemes from inception through to end of warranty period, supporting the Development Project Managers to ensure we are delivering compliant and quality products.
*Reviewing our newbuild specifications and requirements to ensure they are fit for purpose now and in the future.
*Leading the team's relationship with our assets functions to ensure our products align to the wider asset management strategy, enabling change where required.
*Staying up to date with changes to regulations, national policy guidance, briefings, research and innovation, appraising the team to assess impacts and risk on the development programme.
*Performing clerk of work duties as and when required
*Having technical oversight of the defect period, managing contractor relationships and reviewing the processes we follow in collaboration with the Development Project Managers.
*Updating our Customer Relationship Management system.
*Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our properties are fit to live in and meet the required standards.
*Managing the handover of schemes to our assets team, ensuring a smooth transition and key documentation is captured
*Prepare and present reports, as required.
*A good standard of education, with strong numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
*A professional qualification in the construction and/or the technical surveyor disciplines and evidence of continuous professional development.
*At least five years' experience of working in a fast paced, property development environment.
*A working knowledge of contract or project management and standard contract types.
*Up to date knowledge of statutory obligations and regulations - including building regulations, planning, health and safety and construction design and management.
*Experience of successfully managing contractors.
*A good understanding of warranties, guarantees and defects periods in newbuild homes, along with a good understanding of on-site health and safety.
*Excellent customer service skills and experience
