Application Support Analyst - Wakefield
Up to £35,000 + perm benefits
A leading insurance organisation based in Wakefield is currently recruiting for an Application Support Analyst to provide support on a wide range of systems; essentially ensuring the business keeps progressing with high standards across the entire organisation. The successful Application Support Analyst will provide maintenance and support for a specific area of the business and be a part of investigating and building capabilities alongside problem solving.
*Find and resolve issues with our systems and applications, taking proactive approaches using your own initiative and applying repairs and preventative measures where possible under strict change control processes.
*Manage and recommend application improvements to drive business performance.
*High levels of attention to detail specifically when documenting changes and application implementations.
*Maintain clear and regular communication with customers, reporting key information in an understandable format.
*3-5 years Application Support experience in a medium to large corporate environment
*Proven track record in providing support services and knowledge management across a range of high profile and critical applications in use across a large organisation.
*Knowledge of good quality processes including ITIL working to strict Corporate IT policies
*Ability to grasp and interpret written and verbal communication quickly, sharing salient points effectively.
*Experience of working in a similar role within a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail.
*Technically competent across multiple platforms with a demonstrable ability to explain technical information to any audience.
*Tenacious and self-motivated, effectively managing own workload to deliver results.
*To lead, research and triage complex problems individually and within a team, providing appropriate tactical and strategic solutions as necessary.
*Ability to manage varying priorities with a consistent approach to innovation under potentially challenging circumstances.
*Experience with Oracle databases and Insurance industry knowledge would be advantageous though not essential
