The Position:- * Assisting a small local authority legal team with a variety of work types, associated with local government legal team, including:-
-- Licensing & Advising Licensing Committee
-- Advice and dealing with Housing work
-- Anti Social Behaviour
-- Disrepair Claims
-- Other general Housing advice
-- Basic level Contract work
-- Advice to Environmental Health services including regarding Enforcement work
* Requirement is to cover a sickness absence, to start in the next few weeks
* Duration unknown - 1-6 months
* Flexible as to hours either on a Full Time or Part Time basis
* This role can be done on an entirely remote basis and the IT systems are good with online resources available
* Administration support also available
* Rates £30 - £40ph (tbc)
The Ideal Candidate:-
* Solicitor/Legal Executive/other equivalent qualified Lawyer
* Experience working for a local authority previously
* At least 2 years' experience in dealing with some of the above types of work (it is not necessary to be able to cover all of these areas as other members of the team can pick up certain matters)
* Good team player
* Someone who can hit the ground running with a busy caseload
* Good IT skills and comfortable working with case management systems (training will be provided)
