Senior Python Developer Contract 6-18 Months. My client a leading name in their space is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Python Developer to join them on a contract basis for 6 months with view for multiple extensions.

As a Python Developer your main responsibilities will involve, working within a distributed Agile team. You will Liaise with Business Analysts and end users to go through the requirements & design. You will contribute to functional & technical design and Write requirements using Specification By Examples (SBE), automated tests & deliver software. You will build excellent relationships across technology and user communities, You will Mentor less experienced OOP team members using methods such as informal training, pair programming etc.

Successful candidates will have experience in Python programming, Experience in successful application development in multiple technologies - my client values diversity of experience and prefer people who have worked on many different types of projects. Ideally you will have
experience working on Investment Banking technology solutions, preferably in Securities and Middle & Back Office areas would be ideal. You will be experienced in using design patterns and following best software engineering practices.

You will have Good, confident analytical skills are essential as all members of the team will be involved with defining user stories and specification by examples through direct exposure to the users. You will have experience of Scrum/ Agile methods and Hands on experience in other Java/C#,C++ or other OO languages and knowledge of non-OO technology e.g. C/pro-C, SQL would be useful. Candidates will have Knowledge or experience of Specification by Example / ATDD / BDD and Test Driven Development practices including continual integration is desirable experience of XP/ pair programming.
