My market leading and award-winning client, known for being a great place to work is looking for an experienced and driven IT Applications Team Leader to join their growing Corporate Applications Production Support team.
I am looking for a service focussed, experienced Team Leader who can lead and motivate an established Applications team. Working within ITIL, IT controls and processes and following the SDLC, you will be responsible for ensuring service meets both industry and internal standards, policies and guidelines, and be responsible for implementing an ethos of best practice and continuous improvement with the team.
This role will be remote initially but will be based out of their Midlands head office in Warwickshire in the long term.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the team driving adherence to Service Level Agreements and co-ordinating any activity that impacts or affects the IT service ensuring the daily IT health checks are completed and managing any service impacting incidents.
*Engage with business management teams, 3rd party IT suppliers and all IT service delivery teams in order to deliver service excellence.
*Review the IT service on a regular basis which will include collating and presenting service reports to both internal and external service partners.
*Motivate and develop the team, helping them to mature their technical, problem solving and communication skills ensuring the team deliver a high quality service to IT colleagues, Service partners and the business throughout the ITIL lifecycle.
*Manage all service-related IT change and resource requests in line with change and project demands.
*Represent the service in Go/No Go and major incident meetings and be responsible for approving IT changes affecting the IT service.
*Lead and co-ordinate all audit and control attestation activities within the department in line with IT governance requirements.
*Support a small number of release weekends and service upgrades throughout the year.
*Plan and prioritise multiple items of work and co-ordinate resource requests to ensure tasks are delivered to meet deadlines and quality and controls standards.
*The role requires engagement with internal IT teams, business users and external suppliers so the successful candidate must have strong communication skills.
Skills and Experienced required:
*Experience in a similar Applications Manager or Team Leader role
*Demonstrable experience of leading both technical teams and projects in an IT environment
*Meaningful relevant and demonstrable experience of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
*Knowledge of project management methodologies and COBIT are highly advantageous
*Experience working in a highly regulated business / environment is also highly beneficial
*An Information Technology related degree, or equivalent industry experience
