Lancashire Based - with flexible and agile working

Are you passionate about Social Value and Social Value being delivered by Procurement? If you are then we are working with an amazing social housing organisation who want to ensure that they are delivering further social value in all of their procurement and contracts activities and that there is clarity and support for their internal staff and external stakeholders to realise this too.
This organisation picked up the Embedding Social Value in Contract Management at the National Social Value Conference in London - your passion for delivering for community, service users and wider social value will be taken seriously at this organisation.
The Social Value Officer will work to ensure that they are maximising the social value from the internal procurement activities, coordinating the work of contract managers to ensure that the commitments of suppliers and partners are realised, for the benefit of the customers and communities around them. This role gives you an opportunity to drive a passion for social value across an entire organisation.

Within this role you will support the Procurement team, provide social value advice across the business, ensure innovative work and best practices, that a high profile is given to embedding social value and the outputs and outcomes of this work, that agreed commitments meet the identified needs of customers and the business, AND that contract managers hold suppliers to account for their commitments. If you are passionate about Social Value, then this is your opportunity to make a real difference in the social housing market.

Core competencies required:

*Passion and Knowledge of Social Value and methodologies - do you live and breathe social value?
*Experienced within a social value or social housing environment; this could be not-for-profit, or charity based
*Ideally some exposure to Procurement or Contracts Management in a social value/public sector-based organisation
About the company:

This organisation is a forward-thinking, profit-for-purpose business that works hard to improve the lives of residents in 19,000 homes across the North West and Yorkshire. Their work doesn't stop at the customers' front door. The surplus they make is invested back into the business to fund building new homes and to provide a full range of support services for some of the most vulnerable members of society including the homeless, young parents, older people and those with mental health needs.

They are extremely proud of their dedicated, passionate and friendly colleagues who live their values and work hard to make a difference every day. Working for this organisation you will be part of something special and in return, they offer a competitive package with a range of enhanced benefits and learning and development opportunities to help you achieve and exceed your potential.
