Are you passionate about Social Value and Social Value being delivered by Procurement? If you are then we are working with an amazing social housing organisation who want to ensure that they are delivering further social value in all of their procurement and contracts activities and that there is clarity and support for their internal staff and external stakeholders to realise this too.
This organisation picked up the Embedding Social Value in Contract Management at the National Social Value Conference in London - your passion for delivering for community, service users and wider social value will be taken seriously at this organisation.
The Social Value Officer will work to ensure that they are maximising the social value from the internal procurement activities, coordinating the work of contract managers to ensure that the commitments of suppliers and partners are realised, for the benefit of the customers and communities around them. This role gives you an opportunity to drive a passion for social value across an entire organisation.
Within this role you will support the Procurement team, provide social value advice across the business, ensure innovative work and best practices, that a high profile is given to embedding social value and the outputs and outcomes of this work, that agreed commitments meet the identified needs of customers and the business, AND that contract managers hold suppliers to account for their commitments. Core competencies required:
*Passion and Knowledge of Social Value and methodologies - do you live and breathe social value?
*Experienced within a social value or social housing environment; this could be not-for-profit, or charity based
*Ideally some exposure to Procurement or Contracts Management in a social value/public sector-based organisation
