Corporate Insurance Partner - Head of Department

This is an exceptional opportunity for a corporate insurance specialist (partner/counsel/senior associate) to come in and lead this international law firm's corporate insurance offering within the UK. The firm is unquestionably a leading firm in the insurance sector, and the addition of a corporate insurance partner in London is a natural fit. This is the opportunity to shape a growing corporate department as you see fit, with teams in related service lines already in place. You will have the opportunity to network internally, with other partners keen to get you in front of their insurer clients so you can pitch the corporate insurance offering to them.

It is very rare for such an influential position to arise at such a successful firm within the insurance sector space. There are already more junior lawyers who can support you and your work from day one, and the firm is committed to investing in, and in building, a team around you. The firm is open to whether someone comes in at full equity, or at fixed share, level - it really does depend on the individual, track record and potential.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in corporate insurance/corporate work. You should have a track record of developing and managing relationships with major clients. The key is that you are well versed in corporate/M&A activity and have a flair for business development. The firm is interested in established partners, or those at senior associate/counsel level who are clearly working at partner level already but may have a glass ceiling at their current firm. The firm is open to an individual, or a team move.
