Job Title - Assets & Liability Analyst
Location - North London although flexibility for Home working
Salary - 35-37K + Benefits & Bonus

The B+C Housing finance team are looking to recruit Assets & Liability Analyst for a housing association who have recently undergone a restructure within their finance team. This role will form part of the Development Finance & Treasury team and will pay a key part in aiding the delivery of the business growth strategy. You will own processes involving assets and liabilities, operationally managing the security charging process. The role will also maximise the use of the security across the debt portfolio, ensuring properties are charged with agreed timescales and overseeing the reconciliation of the security held in charge with our lending group and Security Trustee.

Key responsibilities include:
*Guide the Development team with regards to appropriate section 106 Agreement mortgagee exclusion clauses that lenders find acceptable in connection with acquisitions
*Improve the loan value of assets
*Effectively review complex legal documentation
*Operationally own assets & liabilities register
*Operationally own the production of the Statistical Data Return to the Regulator of Social Housing
*Assist the wider Finance team with production of Business Plans
*Help improve knowledge of charging requirements across the immediate team and wider business
*Build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as the Land Registry and Local Authorities
*Assess the potential integration of a security management system
*Monitor valuation requirements and commissioning valuations.
*Monitoring compliance with asset cover requirements.
*Completing security reconciliations and reports.
*Maintaining the Treasury Asset Register
*Assist the Development Finance & Treasury teams in any ongoing projects where suitable

Key Experience required
-A keen eye for detail to effectively review complex legal documentation
-Excellent planning skills
-Strong ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
-Methodical, organised, efficient and effective
-Good oral and written communication skills
-Understanding of legal requirements to charge assets
-Ability to prioritise workload
-Work to deadlines
-Find ways to improve efficiencies and effectiveness
-Take ownership of own workload and work unsupervised
