An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a very busy in-house legal team of a leading organisation in the healthcare sector. Joining as Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for negotiating, drafting and amending a wide variety of commercial contracts and agreements that align with the business' strategy & values. You will also advise on a range of substantive legal areas, such as general contracts, commercial law, tenders, claims, disputes and relevant legislation.

Please note this is a part time position, working 22.5 hours per week. Currently this will be a remote working role, and moving forward will be a mix of remote working and from the Central London based office.

Duties will include:

*Manage a team of three with the Legal Counsel and Legal Support Executive reporting directly to you.

*Handle a wide range of commercial contracts from drafting through to negotiation and finalisation.

*Work to minimise risk and manage any disputes that arise as a result of breach of contract.

*Advise Management of on-going contractual rights and obligations, provide clarification of contract terms and conditions.

*Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the organisation to ensure that legal advice is consistently sought by internal clients when needed. Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as suppliers and industry regulators.

*Assist with the development and delivery of training modules regarding contractual legal issues.

*Advise the business with regards to changes in legislation that affect the company, its clients and industries.

*Assist with tenders and responses to tenders, as required.

*Comply with internal policies, in particular the Contract Review and Approval Policy and Procurement Policy.

*Draft and maintain policies relating to compliance, regulation and best practice. Ensure such policies are regularly reviewed annually or when changes are made to the law or internal procedures.

You will be a UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 7 years PQE* and ideally a minimum of three year's experience working in-house.

You will have previous management experience and exhibit strong leadership skills. You will be comfortable working with senior stakeholders of a business, and proactively look to push things forward from a legal and commercial perspective.
