JOB ROLE: Support Worker - Night Shifts

JOB TYPE: Permanent, Part Time

HOURS: 9:30pm - 7:30am, 3 nights (30 hours per week)

SALARY: £17,874 per annum, pro rata (£9.53 per hour)

Purpose of job

To deliver a person-centred integrated support service for participants in the Community Living Service, and to discharge responsibilities within an allocated registered service.

In Redhill my client has a brand new development with top end facilities, and they are looking for caring individuals to join them and make a real difference.

The Community Living Service provides support for adults who are affected by sight loss and learning disabilities. They are looking for reliable and motivated individuals to join our professional team of Waking Night Support Workers at their services.

As a Waking Night Support Worker you will support people to achieve their goals and aspirations through person centred planning, providing a customised, responsive and high quality service. You will be empowering the person to live as independently as possible with appropriate levels of support.

You will provide personal, intellectual, social, emotional and physical support. You will ensure that the living accommodation is respected as someone's home, carrying out domestic and administrative tasks promptly and accurately.

You don't need qualifications to join as they will help you achieve these. You just need to:

* Want to make a difference

* Like to have fun

* Have patience and be calm under pressure as well as sociable, caring and supportive

* Work as part of a team to provide excellent person-centred support to our residents and their families

* Have good problem solving and communications skills

* Recognise and understand safeguarding responsibilities and take appropriate action

* Prioritise your workload effectively

Experience of working in a social care or residential environment is desirable but not essential.

My client will provide you with full training. After a thorough induction, you'll shadow an experienced Support Worker, enjoy ongoing training and gain a recognised Care Certificate and optional Health & Social Care Diploma.
