Application Support Analyst

Application Support / Software Support / Customer Support / SaaS / Permanent / Leamington Spa / Gloucester

My client, who is a rapidly growing Software Company is looking for an ambitious Application Support Analyst to join their growing Support Team at their offices in either Leamington Spa or Gloucester.

The Application Support Analyst will be responsible for providing telephone, email and remote support directly to customers. You will be expected to deliver the highest standards in customer service, you will gain exposure to a number of disciplines, including; application support and operational advice, software installation and configuration, databases, reporting and delivering Software as a Service (SaaS).

Key Responsibilities:

*Deal with incoming customer support requests, logging and updating tickets where appropriate
*Escalate issues, enhancement requests and business opportunities to the relevant departments
*Provide remote support, via industry standard tools, to desktop, server and mobile applications
*Assist with the creation of reports for both customer and internal use, primarily using Crystal Reports and SQL queries
*Assist the Development Team with testing, documentation and feedback as required
*Ensure that internal systems are kept up-to-date
*Assist with the updating and day-to-day management of Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms
*Provide technical backup and application knowledge to all business areas where required

Key Skills and Experience required:

*Commercial experience of delivering software or application support in a customer facing role
*Broad understanding of IT
*Experience or qualifications in one or more of the following; Networking, Windows Server, Crystal Reports, SQL
*Some knowledge of debugging tools, such as Chrome DevTools
*Strong systems fault-finding and analytical skills
*A good communicator - face-to-face, telephone, written, email.
*An ability to converse with non-technical people on IT issues without jargon and are able to build and maintain good relationships with clients and colleagues
*Creative and innovative problem solver
*ITIL certification would be desirable but is not essential

This is an excellent opportunity, offering great prospects, to be involved in a key business area during an exciting period of growth for the company. This role is based in either of their newly custom-designed office suites in Gloucestershire or Leamington Spa.

The salary on offer is £20,000 - £26,000 dependant on experienced plus benefits including; generous pension, private medical insurance, life cover, permanent health insurance and many more.
