A market leader in providing systems, applications and screen-based testing solutions is seeking a front end Developer to focus on accessibility and join a full lifecycle Scrum Development team working on multiple projects and business as usual requirements.

The successful candidate will be part of a small dedicated team, tasked with contributing to the product development lifecycle by clearly defining accessible outcomes for feature development so that scrum teams are educated and informed of how to achieve those outcomes.
You will have an empathy for and understanding of the disabled user experience, and a passion for solving problems, developing concepts from prototype and through to accessible solution and will possess creative flair, combined with a solid understanding of the software development process.


Front End Developer - Duties:

*Developing and testing accessible UI designs as prototypes on the relevant development platform(s)
*Utilising knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and front-end frameworks (such as Angular and ReactJS)
*Answering queries from scrum team members (POs, designers, developers and testers), account managers, sales/bid team, and documentation team
*Presenting solutions to and answering customer queries about accessibility via the account management team
*Contributing to the ongoing documentation of product accessibility
*Contributing to scrum ceremonies and advising on necessary acceptance criteria
*Designing, developing and testing new and experimental accessible features for possible inclusion in the product
*Liaising with accessibility partners


Front End Developer - Skills and Capabilities required:

*2-3 years' experience in a front-end development role
*Experienced and proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and front-end frameworks (such as Angular and ReactJS)
*Some experience of developing accessible user interfaces
*Experience in designing for mobile applications
*Experience working with Agile software processes
