Role Responsibilities:

  • Viability Analysis
  • Commercial and Contract Advice
  • Contract Administration
  • Cost Planning and Reporting
  • Able to develop an initial concept budget and prepare a detailed cost plan
  • Confirm project insurance arrangements
  • Advise on contract procurement
  • Advise on specifications and assist with the value engineering
  • Prepare financial section of project report
  • Attend design team meetings
  • Manage change orders
  • Prepare, submit and agree monthly costs reports, collating information from other areas as necessary
  • Prepare, submit and agree periodic valuations for works
  • Close out financial account and retention releases
  • Prepare final account reconciliation, create regular budget and price update
  • Prepare the cost and progress report for the Directors responsible
  • To ensure HSQE and quality standards, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, always implemented and adhered to

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Be degree qualified or other equivalent qualification
  • Have 3+ years full time experience in a surveying role
  • Possess a good understanding of contract law
  • Possess a good knowledge and understanding of Word and Excel packages
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proved ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
  • Good presentation skills - both written and oral
  • High drive and energy levels
  • Proven experience in negotiating complex deals
