For this role you will require the following skills and attributes :-

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Management

  • To work with the BM in the preparation of the School's annual budget plan
  • To assist in the on-going management of the School's financial resources

Financial Resource Management

  • Manage operation of Double First Finance System and the Purchase Control System including:
    • Completion of month end procedures including reconciliations, monthly accruals and prepayments, and banking
    • Allocating cash deposits and refunds
    • Generation of termly invoicing including the recharging of disbursements
    • Administration of the Fees Ledger including credit control, direct debits, and completion of debtors report to Head Office
    • Administration of the Purchase Ledger including coding, ordering and invoicing
  • Assist with the submition of returns to School Support Centre (SSC) in line with imposed timescales
  • Assist the BM in the development and implement of a budget monitoring process, together with preparation and reconciliation of cost centres, and generation of monthly budget statements to budget holders
  • Assist the BM with direct debit schedualing
  • Ensure best value by comparison/challenge/competition and challenge
  • Liaise with SSC regarding compliance with financial systems

Fees Administration

  • Administer fees invoice process including recharging of disbursements, discounts and transport
  • Administer credit control, aged debtors and sales ledger, including submission of monthly Debtors Report to Head Office
  • Administer transport charges and variations
  • Administer learning support charges and variations
  • Administer direct debit payments and migration of all parents to direct debit payments, including submission of monthly Direct Debit Listings to SSC

Contract Management

  • To assist the Business Manager with administering contracts, including specification amendments, monitoring standards and cost adjustments

General

  • Collaborating with the Admissions team supporting smooth process for new parents
  • Renew and maintain service contracts as required
  • Other administrative duties that may be required
