Badenoch & Clark are working with our progressive, public sector client, who are looking for a Compulsory Purchase Order Solicitor, for a 2 year fixed term contract.

The salary is between £31,000 - £38,000 and this is full time, 37 hours per week. Flexible working hours are available and home working is offered 1 - 2 days per week. The location is easily accessible with excellent public transport links with the bus/train station within walking distance.

This is a great opportunity to work on a caseload of high profile regeneration/development projects. Experience with CPO's is essential and local authority planning experience would be preferred.

The purpose of the role is:

*Assist the Head of Legal & Democratic Services in fulfilling the overall objectives of the Service by the provision of high quality and proactive legal advice to the Council primarily in the area of commercial contracts and public procurement law as well as local government law, practice and proceedings.

*Contribute and actively participate in the performance and efficiency of the Council's Legal Services department whilst maintaining the required quality standards for the provision of legal advice.

*Provide legal advice and input to other services and directorates of the Council and/or other bodies connected to the Council, as required.
