DevSecOps Engineer (Azure) Market leading firm in Derby!
I'm working exclusively with a well-known, market leader based in Derby on their search for a DevSecOps Engineer to join them in a newly created position. I'm therefore looking to speak to very best DevOps enthusiasts in the local market who are looking to work for a recognised brand who are undoubtedly at the forefront of their industry!
I have placed a number of people into this organisation over the last couple of years and having got to know the business very well… it is simply a great place to work. The culture here is different to a lot of typical development environments - its one of fun, openness and honestly, with very little hierarchy. Their developers work collaboratively, non-egotistically and very much with a "no blame culture". They simply treat their people really well and this is reflected through their outstanding retention rates across the business. They haven't lost a Developer in the last 5 years which speaks volumes.
These guys are growing exponentially and from this, they have now recognised that they need to further proof the security of their systems and infrastructure - hence the brand new requirement for a DevOps Engineer to take ownership of their cloud infrastructure and support their desire for continuous delivery!
I'm looking for someone with exposure in similar role who understands the technical principles and practices around the DevSecOps approach and someone with a passion for cyber security -current best practice, trends and threats and its impact upon a business. You will also assist in the creation of both test and production environments while setting up frameworks to ensure integration, security and performance tests are run effectively as part of their agile development process.
Technically I'm looking someone who has solid experience of managing Azure infrastructure leveraging ARM, Powershell and CLI. You will also be familiar with automation tools for deployment, test, security and performance such as Octopus deploy, Tsung and Selenium and ideally have experience in managing container infrastructure via Docker and Kubernetes!
This is one of those opportunities that do not come about too often - this role really is a blank canvass and offers the opportunity to really make the role your own. I am looking for DevOps enthusiasts with a real thirst for learning and most importantly - vision. This is key, as your remit will be to look at how my client can constantly improve and drive their DevOps approach forward. You will be an advocate of Agile and passionate about using industry best practices, including solid principles and recognized design patterns - knowing how to apply them in an Enterprise scale environment.
In return you will receive a competitive salary, bonus, pension scheme, 26 days holiday (plus bank hols), pension scheme, onsite gym and restaurant and much more.
