Parts Administrator - Permanent - Bury St Edmunds. I am currently recruiting on behalf of an Agricultural business based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds for a full-time, permanent, Parts Administrator to join their small and friendly team. This is a varied office-based position where face to face customer service will also be required. Previous administrative experience is strongly desirable, however most importantly the successful candidate will have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Agricultural industry.

This is a varied administrative role based predominately within a small office, however will also involve serving and assisting customers on the shop floor. The successful candidate will be involved in and responsible for a variety of different tasks, to include but not limited to:

  • Answering incoming calls
  • Providing customer service via email, phone and face to face
  • Placing sales orders
  • Placing purchase orders
  • Invoicing
  • Serving customers
  • Stock check
  • General administration

The suitable candidate must have a strong knowledge and understanding of the agricultural industry and agricultural based products. Previous office-based experience would be strongly desirable, however for the right candidate with the correct product knowledge the administration duties would be trained. To be successful you will hold excellent customer service skills both over the phone and be comfortable in dealing with customers in a face to face environment. You will also have a good understanding of computers and be able to quickly adapt to systems and databases but be flexible to work within a hands-on environment also.

In return you will receive a competitive salary ranging between £20,000 and £25,000pa, depending on experience. You will be working for a successful organisation in a small, welcoming and lively team and will be supported with ongoing training.
