Job Description

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the role is central to the way in which our client runs its Site Operations Team. Balancing a varied workload, the role holder will be central to the way site works are resourced, and the processes behind it.

The role holder will have a crucial input into the running of the Site Operations Team, relying on problem solving skills and a cool head under pressure to ensure that the team's output is completed on time, to the required standard.

Main Responsibilities

· Lead in the resourcing of site works

· Manage a team of 14 Site Operatives and an Administrator

· Communication to Project Managers on the status and resourcing of site works

· Collate and report on operational data - failure rates & reasons / equipment utilisation etc.

· Manage stock control between north and south offices

· Assist with development and implementation of Site Ops processes

· Collate Site Ops personnel, training, and performance files

· Co-ordinate service and maintenance of southern vehicle fleet

· Assist with management of stock replenishment for perishable items

· Deputise for Site Operations Manager as necessary

· Liaise with Project Managers on changes to project schedules

· Assisting with the development and implementation of innovation strategies

· Other relevant tasks as required

Essential Qualities

· Experience of managing or supervising a team

· Background in a busy operations environment

· Proven ability to solve problems

· Highly organised

· Ability to work under pressure

· A good level of numeracy / IT skills

· Good level of attention to detail and accuracy

· Self-motivated and flexible

· Good Microsoft Excel ability


· Full UK driving license

Although core office hours are 09:00 to 17:30 Mon - Fri, the Site Ops Team works evenings and weekends and therefore flexible working hours and 'on call' availability are required.
