The company I'm recruiting for are hugely successful, they have a £10m turnover, own the site they work on and have just had their best quarter yet. They have also grown from 35-55 employees over the past few years too. My client offers enviable benefits including:

  • The hours of work are Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm (with 1 hour for lunch) and on a Friday 8am-4pm (with 1 hour for lunch) so an ideal early finish ready for the light summer evenings on their way

As an Internal Sales Coordinate your role will involve:
  • Ensuring customer enquiries and orders from Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Contracts Managers etc are answered and processed
  • Maintaining the sales inbox and distributing approximately 20 enquiries a day to 1 of the 4 Project Coordinator
  • Maintaining daily updates on projects
  • Using the inhouse database system 'ABI' to generate new business - by phoning customers who have requested information or have planning permission to build
  • Working to KPI's: how many quotes you convert to an order, new business gained, calls logged, new quotations followed up and orders processed
  • Contributing towards the departmental sales budget
  • Liaising with customers to clarify their requirements and providing technical advice/support
  • Chasing quotes and updating the company forecasting
  • Validating sales invoices when required
  • Partaking in department meetings
  • Maintaining the filing of contract files and sales information
  • Checking contracts for onerous terms and conditions
  • Maintaining the customer satisfaction process
  • The skills required for this role are:
  • Previous experience of working within a similar sales support/new business/sales coordinator role is essential
  • Administration experience including updating databases, processing orders and updating project information
  • The confidence to make outbound calls to Contracts Managers and new companies, for example, to follow up on enquiries and convert them into quotes and new business
  • You will need to be process driven
  • The ability to multitask and work within a fast paced internal sales office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • MS Office
