Our client a National Waste to Energy & Utilities Company is currently looking for HGV Technicians in various locations. You will be joining a well known company with over 175,000 employees in the UK with excellent opportunities to expand your career.

The fleet services delivers front line commercial/municipal collections of multiple waste streams utilising various transport options including RCV's, Roll on/Roll off and skip vehicles to customers.

*As a Workshop Mechanic / Technician you are expected to:
*Conduct routine inspections, maintenance and repairs.
*Conduct maintenance actives which promote vehicle safety, reliability and availability.
*Ensure that all Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
*Use modern IT systems to complete job cards / time sheets etc.
*Attend various training and courses in-order to maintain and enhance your knowledge and understanding of; modern vehicles, diagnostic platforms, H&S, etc.
*Become and work as part of the team; delivering outstanding levels of service to our Customers.

Candidates must:

Be a minimum of a level 2 (NVQ, C&G or IRTEC equivalent) in a vehicle related qualification.
Have a driving licence and be willing and capable of attaining a HGV 2 (C+E).

The ideal candidate will:

*Is apprentice trained.
*Possess a number of years in the HGV or PSV industry.
*Possess waste experience.
*Have a HGV 2 (Class C+E) driving licence.
*Be flexible and possess an enthusiastic approach to working in sometimes adverse conditions.

In return the company are offering a competitive annual salary of between £35,000 and £40,000, depending on location and experience (The max salary is based on the applicant having a relevant Level 3 qualification, HGV 2 (C+E), min 5 years' experience and apprentice trained. Salary could be higher if applicant has higher qualifications, licenses, waste experience and/or apprenticeship) Overtime will be paid at time and a half, with bank holidays being paid at double time. In addition to this, you will also have access to various training opportunities as well as realistic progression prospects.
