The purpose of the role is to continually develop the provision of operational Treasury by reviewing and improving the efficiency and effectiveness whilst providing a reporting and advisory service to the organisation in the area of treasury management. To support businesses objectives and strategic goals ensuring appropriate processes and procedures are in place whilst adhering to Treasury Policy. To ensure the Treasury function provides effective stakeholder relations whilst ensuring the team provides accurate and timely information reporting to the senior leadership team and board.
Responsibilities and duties:
*Develop and monitor banking covenants database to ensure compliance with all Group credit facilities.
*Statutory Reporting for Treasury Financial Instruments
*Experience in Treasury budgeting setting, budgeting & forecasting vs. actual reporting. Ensure commentary given for any material movements
*To manage the investment and daily cash management service across the Group including initiating transfer of funds, borrowing and lending to/from Group's bankers together with implementation of associated hedging and derivative strategy.
*To develop and maintain analytical and bench marking systems to inform and advise treasury planning, policy, covenant and strategic development.
*To develop treasury accounting processes and preparation of financial instrument and associated notes in accordance with IFRS102 and other relevant accounting conventions
*To ensure timely and accurate derivative MtM reporting
*To maintain relationship with banking partners in relation to local business requirements and treasury-specific banking needs
*To support project financing meetings with external funders and requests pertaining to financing requirements
*To manage treasury contribution to Annual Report preparation
*Management of all day-to-day Group Treasury operations (cash management, facility draw-downs, inter-company funding, minimising external borrowing requirements and interest expense). Approve levels of cash to be held by local companies
*Measurement and management of currency, interest rate, Mark-to-Market (MtM) sensitivity movements, counterparty collateral requirements (incorporating short/medium term liquidity impact) and any other financial risks within treasury policy & procedures.
*Minimise idle cash through netting and cash concentration
*Accounting treatment of treasury transactions
*To support automation of Treasury processes
*To provide support to management on decisions and business activity having a treasury or financial impact at the strategic and operational level.
The successful candidate:
*Be a qualified CCAB Accountant.
*Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive conversations and queries appropriately.
*Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
*Strong Treasury background.
*Experience in either the public or/and third sector.
