On behalf or our client we seek and experienced Project Planner to join their organisation on a permanent basis.

Applicants will ideally have experience working for an EPC in oil and gas industry in the development of planning and project controls processes responsible for large sized project or large sized-sub-element of a major project and will be competent with Primavera P6.

Role overview

Your contribution will be utilised across a range of international projects, starting in the bid phase, continuing through to award, start up and execution.

You will be part of the Project Services department who are involved in all stages of the project life cycle including all EPC phases, which you will assist in undertaking directly. The team utilises Primavera and the IFS integrated project management system interfaced with proprietary systems, to deliver pertinent information to all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver a resourced robust baseline project schedules.
Co-ordinate and produce project plans and associated documents ("S" curves, Histograms, man hour/progress data).
Provide the management team with relevant contract information.
Ensure all services and deliverables confirm to Company, Client and Project QA Plan, Policies, Requirements and standards.
Promote good working relations with the planning team and other project department and client representatives.
Ensure all planning work is carried out in compliance with Corporate and Project specific procedures
Assisting with the developing and maintaining of Project Planning and Costing processes to meet Business requirements.
Provide a business wide service in aggregation of schedule and resource data from all projects to enable strategic business level planning.
Ensuring competent planning and costing resources are available and properly utilised in supporting each tender and project.
Assist with the development and training of all project planning personnel.

Candidate Skills/Attributes

Specialist knowledge in project control system (Primavera P6)
IT/Computer literate in particular Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel
Must be able to communicate with all levels up to top management
To deliver the planning objectives and achieving targets or milestones
Understands and applies planning theory, process and best practices.
Capable of communicating with project groups and third parties to agreed standards, systems, processes to meet the project and client requirements.
Capable of managing and having a co-ordinated approach to resolving procedural issues in a timely manner
Capable of the development and maintaining of performance targets.
Understanding of lean manufacture
Understanding of change management
Understanding of risk management
Must be a good communicator to extract planning information for team members.
Willingness to travel overseas for meetings
Willingness to accept overseas assignments
