International Electrical Product Manufacturing Test Lead

Location: Mainly Cambridge, but does involve international travel to Poland & China

Duration: Initial 12 Months

Rate: £Competitive

The Roles:

As the Electrical Product Manufacturing Test Lead you will be instrumental in moving the manufacture of my client's devices from Poland to China. This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to set-up and own the production test line for internet connected devices.

The products are RF and Bluetooth orientated, experience in this vain as well as exposure to working with manufacturing lines will be crucial to your success in this role.

You will be based mainly in Cambridge although there will be an early training phase in London to understand the products in more detail, then moving to 2-3 weeks in Poland to understand the current process and output. You will then be over to China for at least 4 times this year for 3-4 week periods.

You will be Responsible for;

  • Define and implement production test within an off-shore electronic medium/high volume manufacturing facility.
  • Create and provide the necessary test and calibration documentation to guarantee a successful handoff to the factory
  • Work with manufacturing/engineering teams to drive test readiness from NPI to RAMP
  • Lead test station SW validation and deployment to the production line.
  • Drive contract manufacturers to define test methodology, low cost test solutions including automation, and improve manufacturing yield and quality.

About you;

  • Experience of implementing product test within off-shore OEMs, ODMs in an electronic medium/high volume manufacturing facility.
  • Hands on test experience of RF products (Bluetooth, WIFI, Zigbee and 868MHz)
  • Engineering Degree, preferably Electrical Engineering with hands on experience in debugging, failure analysis and functional verification.
