Finance Support Officer - Reconciliations
*A Local Authority in South London is looking for a Finance Support Officer to join their team on a three month contract.
Purpose of the job:
*To provide technical and practical problem solving support and services that are focused on using specialist skills.
*To deliver a consistently high quality, cost effective and timely Systems Support, taxation, Control and Reconciliation service.
Your duties will include:
*You will be responsible for the processing of batch and online transactions into Agresso, Academy
*and other financial systems as required.
*You will be verifying that batches balance and are correctly authorised.
*You will be verifying that account codes used on input are appropriate to the type of transaction as defined by the current chart of accounts.
*You will be completing daily bank reconciliation within the Finance Systems and reconciling any differences.
*You will be providing training and support on the use of financial information systems.
*You will be providing a prompt response to queries to internal and external staff and senior management, investigating and providing advice where appropriate.
*You will be carrying out systems controls and balancing operations for the main financial systems by monitoring daily control reports, systems balancing and reconciliation and taking corrective action to maintain the integrity of Finance Systems.
*You will be ensuring accurate cash allocation of all income including clearing suspense accounts to agreed timetable and targets.
