My client is a world renowned leading designer and manufacturer of luxury jewellery and silver. Due to major growth and development they are currently recruiting a SAP & IT Support Technician to be based within there London office.

Key Tasks

To proactively monitor the IT helpdesk, answer calls and emails, and resolve reported issues by staff and senior managers. Carrying out projects as assigned in a culturally diverse environment. Properly document support, repair, and project activities using the helpdesk ticketing system and to assist in all areas of the systems department. In general, free the Head of IT Manager and Head of System Manager from some of the day to day issues so they can focus on larger projects and IT initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows 7 and Windows 10 in a domain environment
*Ability to troubleshoot common hardware/software issues
*Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
*Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously, but also able to recognise when you are in over your head
*Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge when faced with new challenges
*Attention to detail
*Programme the phones handsets, assigning extension, etc.
*Connecting PC to the network and making sure they work correctly.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Ask questions and get information in order to diagnose computer problems and discern what level of support is needed when a problem is presented

Skill requirements for the post:
*CompTIA A+ certified preferable, but not required.
*To have a good knowledge of different software packages (e.g. Microsoft Office (particularly Word & Excel), SAP 730, RetailPro, Anti-Virus, Adobe Creative Cloud), and adapt quickly to new software.
*Any experience in the business of Retail, Wholesale, Logistics or Finance would be a bonus.
*Understand the need to complete a task to ensure that all users are fully supported.
*Be a quick learner and be able to apply knowledge in new situations.
*Be able to work with a wide variety of people.
*Be prepared to seek support when an unknown situation arises to ensure good service is provided to all users.
