Office Angels are currently recruiting on behalf of our client a Hospitality/Front of House Hospitality, you must posses previous experience within Catering/Hospitality. This is a Full-Time role, located in Edinburgh. Office hours are 40 hours per week between 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday & you will need to cover events in evenings occasionally until 9pm at short notice. Salary around £18,470 per annum dependant on experience.

Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a high quality, fast-paced Corporate environment; committed to ensuring delivery of 5* service with a passionate approach to exceed our client's expectations. You will be able to promote a professional and positive image to all of our guests and work well as a team member.

General Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Arranging catering for meetings
  • Cook, Prepare and serve lunches
  • Cook and Prepare Breakfasts
  • Cooking Small buffet products
  • Serving canapes, beverages etc. during events
  • General porterage duties, this will include setting up meeting rooms which involves heavy lifting, delivery of flip charts and setting up catering tables
  • Setting up events by reconfiguring meeting areas
  • Preparing and Printing Menus
  • Updating weekly stock sheets
  • Ordering stock
  • Maintaining daily Cleaning/Temperature/stock records
  • Cleaning Kitchen/Coffee Machine and Vending Machine
  • General administration duties as required
  • Any ad hoc duties/responsibilities required by the Front of House Manager

Experience, Skills, Attributes Required:

  • Essential - experience in the Catering/Hospitality industry
  • Good communication skills both writing and verbal
  • Be self-motivated but also able to work as part of a team
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to deliver a 5* Service
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Impeccable timekeeping & attendance is a must
  • Have initiative and be able to work without prompting
  • Be of smart appearance and have a professional manner at all times
  • Manual handling experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience in Using Resource Scheduler but not necessary as training will be provided
  • Must be confident in using Outlook/Word & Excel
  • Must we full aware of all Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures
  • 1st Aid Certificate would be preferred but not a must as training will be provided
