Cheshire Constabulary are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join their Multi-Force Shared Service centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving Blue Light Shared Service as a Payroll Manager based at Cheshire Police HQ in Winsford Cheshire.

You would be responsible for the delivery of a fully operational and compliant Payroll system by leading, managing, coordinating and developing all aspects of the payroll service.

We are seeking a payroll expert, ideally with experience in Oracle. The role will involve the movement of the payroll function both in terms of location, and onto a new Oracle Cloud system.

In moving the payroll to the Cheshire site, the individual would need to be prepared to travel 1 day per week to the Midlands. Travel will be covered by the force.

You will be required to represent the Payroll team at service reviews, dealing with partner agencies and internal customers, as well as liaising with the Continuous Improvement teams.

In return, you would be part of a high profile organisation, with a number of benefits. The site has free parking, and gym and canteen facilities. You will be able to take advantage of retail benefits available to the police force.

Working hours can be potentially negotiated to part time or consolidated hours, and the force operates a competitive flexi-time arrangement.

The successful applicant will be required to complete and pass an in-depth background check.
