Responsibility for processing the monthly computerised payrolls, maintaining all records associated with this and preparation of all statutory returns. Input and payment of all Conference purchase invoices. Responsibility for the sales invoicing, credit control and reconciliations. Checking, recording and payment of all Fellows and employee expense claims. Reconciliation of bank accounts and petty cash.

Process and check statutory payments (eg SMP,SSP etc) are in line with current legislation

Maintain employee record files, including sickness and holiday records, to support payroll

Liaison with the Heads of Department and HR Manager to ensure correct payments made

Regular reconciliation of PAYE, NIC, pension, Student Loan, Tax Credits and any other payroll deductions and credits paid over to HM Revenue & Customs and other institutions

Prepare all statutory returns and forms for all payrolls including RTI returns

Maintain records of employees' membership

Assist in preparing any other returns from other statutory bodies eg. Benefits Agency, Tax Credits Office and National Statistical Surveys

Attend any regular updates and courses necessary to ensure kept up to date with all current payroll legislation

Reconciliation of the Contributory Pension Scheme bank account, updating all accounting entries into the Excel cashbook

Taking responsibility for Fellow supervision payments

Liaise with the Conference Office regarding all sales invoicing relating to all taxable conferences

Reconcile bank account

Carry out credit control procedures ensuring that any potential bad debts are immediately reported.

To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required in this position to include providing cover for other team members and team-related tasks
