Finance Business Partner - 3 Months - London - Negotiable daily rate

A blue chip, international Retail and FMCG client of Pontoon is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their site in London as part of an international Project of work.

Purpose:-

The purpose of the role is to provide financial leadership, support and control for the International procurement team, including the two leads of Europe & Asia. Work closely with the category directors, category buying managers and buyers, on key project initiatives to deliver value to the business. Be the first point of call for the category buying teams with regard to management reporting and financial control and any other related financial processes.

Key Deliverables:-

Financial Control - Identify, establish and maintain core financial controls, in particular the recognition of savings, validation against support documentation and allocation to the correct budget lines. Ensure balance sheets are reconciled periodically and arising issues are dealt with. Provide support and guidance on invoice raising, rebates, payments and other transactional support.

Management Information - Establish and deliver core performance reporting and management information that meets the periodic, quarterly and annual needs of the category and finance teams.

Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting - Set budget principles, manage and deliver plans that are consistent with core financial processes and corporate strategy. Deliver accurate forecasting of performance as required.

Managing and Reporting Performance - Provide the buying teams with accurate, timely and robust information on spend data. Provide insight and analysis into the Asian cost base assisting the Leadership team to set performance standards and targets for the business. Review and understand trends in performance and ensure key milestones are achieved to deliver objectives.

Analysis and Insight - Provide 'ad-hoc' analysis as required delivering greater understanding of the spend data by country and category and initiative.

People Development - Provide coaching, upskilling support and guidance to the finance service centre and category teams.
