Role Summary:

MAS is a series of projects with the objective of "Modernising Administration for Students"
It's a 24 month Fixed Term Contract to deliver a business-driven programme, but with a set of implied IT enhancements or new systems, including updates to SITS (student admin system), enhanced MI (possibly new MI infrastructure), and the introduction of new, consistent process to support (eg.) student course modules, personal tutoring, etc.

The role is the first IT-focussed role, and will - at least initially - be at the programme level, working as the technology counterpart to the business programme manager. It will also include project management of the first two active projects.

Responsibilities:

* Delivering a programme of projects facing into the business at Programme Level.

* Designing/Implementing a single set of processes/single operation allowing data to be more accessible.

* Streamlining processes/systems and working closely with Business Intelligence team with regards to delivering projects based upon requirements gathered.

* Defining and delivering IT projects within constraints of timescale, cost and quality.

* Defining baseline plans for resources, schedule, budget.

* Facilitating technical solution design, ensuring adherence to IT strategy.

Key Skills:

* Hands on experience with Student records/systems such as: Tribal SITS, Evision, Unit 4 (Agresso), CMIS, Syllabus +, Banner etc.etc.
* Delivering a mixture of projects at Programme Level
* Delivery Manager experience with regards to Software/Application integration/deployment/Releases.
* Proven track record of defining future growth.
* Solid Project Discpline experience such as; Governance, Road Mapping, UAT, bespoke build processes, bi modal project approach.

Desirable Skills:

* Higher Education/Public Sector experience
* Stakeholder Management
* New product release
* Adding/integrating new features to existing/new applications
